Jeannette M. Amodeo graduated from Stockton State College (Stockton University) in Pomona, New Jersey in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and extensive course work in psychology. Thereafter Jeannette began law school at Thomas M. Cooley in Lansing, Michigan. Jeannette graduated Cum Laude in 1988. In 1989 Jeannette began working for one of the most ground-breaking consumer bankruptcy firms in New Jersey. After spending 6 years with this firm and handling thousands of cases, Jeannette moved on to work as her own boss, first with a partner and then in 1997 as solo practitioner.

Jeannette has always been ready to fight for her clients against aggressive creditors. During her 27 years of practice she has written numerous appellate briefs and has argued cases in both the United States District Court and the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

OTHER INTERESTS

In the 2000 Presidential election Jeannette volunteered as an Election Day attorney, in Pennsylvania, taking phone calls from poll watchers regarding potential irregularities in the 2004 Presidential election.  Again in Pennsylvania, Jeannette volunteered as poll watcher. Jeannette and her husband William live in Shamong, New Jersey with their daughter Mary and son Jimmy.

Jeannette is also very involved in youth sports. She has been a head coach for girls softball, an assistant coach for youth football and currently serves as the League representative and Head of Coaches for the Seneca Youth Football League in Tabernacle, NJ.
